Quick Peek:

This section shows the swell conditions for today and the next two days.
Wind Forecast:
This section shows the wind direction and power in different time period for today and the next two days. The arrow on the rooster represents current wind direction.
Tide Forecast:
This section contains the tide chart with tide height and time for you to understand the tidal information for today and the next two days. The dolphin represents what time we are at now.
Weather and Sun:
The last two sections are the forecast for general weather and sunrise and sunset.

Pain Points
In order to understand what kinds of information the users wish to see, I studied on other surf report/prediction apps, and learn how to read the data and charts. I first looked at the apps and list out the common terms and information they have such us swell, wind, tide, etc. And then I conducted an analysis on their details, app layouts, design styles and user flows.
1. Surfline and Magic Seaweed both have two tabs for real time report and forecast. It takes more steps for users to get to what they want to see, and users can easily get lost in the apps.
2. Magic Seaweed: Unclear arrangements for different sections like swell, wind, and tide. Users will need to spend time on figuring out how to read.

1. Make one page report and forecast for a surf spot. Different sections arranged in vertical order.
2. Put each section in a box to separate from others and avoid confusion and messiness.
3. Each section contain both real time report and forecast. Users are able to click on "date" button within the box.
